Making the move to embrace new technologies presents a complex set of challenges: e-Learning can bring with it as many questions as answers...

...new skills?

...changed roles?

...innovative teaching approaches?

...how to blend e-learning with established practice?

Who?

This website is for managers, course designers, tutors, and support staff in small Tertiary Education Organisations who wish to embark on e-learning but are not quite sure where to start. It has a particular focus on supporting organisations with significant proportions of Maori and Pasifika learners.

What?

Nga Kiwai Kete provides a set of resources and tools to support a blended online and face-to-face approach to e-learning professional development. It aims to enhance e-learning capability by establishing pedagogically sound and culturally appropriate ways of embedding e-learning into everyday practice.

Why?

An essential goal is the empowerment of professional development facilitators within participating TEOs and the development of a shared understanding as to how, when and where to apply e-learning to the best advantage of learners.
