About this Kete: Introducing

You have probably heard or read about e-Learning and may be wondering what it is all about. This Kete is designed to introduce you to e-Learning so that you can think about how you might use e-Learning for teaching and learning in your organisation. You can work through the material in this Kete in small chunks. There are two main sections:

What is e-Learning?
In this section you will find out what e-Learning actually means and how it is different from traditional teaching practice. You will also look at reasons for using e-Learning, and some examples of e-Learning in action. If you are new to e-Learning, we suggest you work through this section first.

What do I need to know?
In this section you will look at what you need to know about technology, and review the skills which are needed to use e-Learning successfully. If you already have some understanding of e-learning, you might choose to go straight to this section and find out about the technology and skills involved

If you prefer not to work through the toolbox on your own, check out the Professional Development Options from the top menu.
