Managing Change

Once a decision has been made to incorporate e-Learning into your organisation, you will need to make a plan, implement it, and evaluate its effects.

MeetingRemember that change is stressful for everybody concerned. Furthermore, the successful introduction of e-learning will need a high level of goodwill and commtiment of staff. So:

  • Make sure all staff are involved in planning - teachers, support and admin staff as well as management
  • Make sure your plans focus on the human side (eg professional development), not just the technology
  • Keep a strong focus on the benefits for learners and learning - develop a shared educational vision and keep this as the centre of all your planning
