Project 3

Designing a new course that will be all or mostly online

In this type of project, you'll probably need to develop the course aims and learning outcomes before starting to design the online component.

Learning outcomes identify what you want learners to able to do on completing the course. They should be observable and measurable, since learners will be assessed to see if they have achieved them. If you need help on writing learning outcomes, check out this resource from the Oxford Brookes University, UK:

Once you have developed learning outcomes for the new course, you can work through the six sections of our design model to develop your e-learning course. The process will follow the same stages as Project 1, so if you haven't already done so you could work through that now.

Since you're designing e-learning for a whole course, check out our Designing a whole e-learning course page for some extra help.
