Designing Activities

Some pointers:

  • For discussion activities, set clear and specific questions. Choose questions which require learners to apply their knowledge to case studies or problems - not just remembering facts!
  • For resource-based activities, choose activities which require learners to engage with the content in a meaningful way.
  • Try to maximise interaction and collaboration with others. If the class size is likely to be large, split the class into groups of 10 to 20 for discussion or other problem-solving activities. Consider allocatinge roles or responsibilities so learners are encouraged to share information and work together to solve problems.
